They are "supposed" new fan pics of Robert. Taken at the JFK airport, and someone said the picture was taken at the Air France terminal. Could he be heading to see Kristen? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

*Note* It has not been confirmed wether this is a new/old pic, or wether it's really Rob. All the info for now, I will keep you guys updated!

EOnLine We won't be surprised one bit if we see Robert Pattinson at this year's Academy Awards.
Yes, he's presented at the Oscars already, but... His new flick, Bel Ami, is set for release just a few days after Hollywood's biggest night of the year. A rep for the Twilight star didn't comment on his possible plans to attend.
Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart is also said to be at the top of the presenter wish list. While Snow White and the Huntsman doesn't hit theaters until June, she'd ideally be paired with her hunky fairy-tale costar Chris Hemsworth.
Mr. Hemsworth actually has two flicks, The Avengers and The Cabin in the Woods, coming out before Snow White, so what better way to promote them all in one big shot than at the Oscars?

Eric Packer is about to embark upon the worst car ride of his life. Thankfully, Robert Pattinson — the actor who plays Packer in "Cosmopolis" — doesn't share his character's fate.

Pattinson fans came out in full force to elect "Cosmopolis" the winner of the MTV Movie Brawl 2012, a weeks-long tournament that pitted several of 2012's biggest releases against one another to determine which film is the must-see cinematic event of the year. After tense battles against titans like "Bel Ami," "The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn: Part 2," "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Hunger Games," it's Pattinson's upcoming indie thriller that took home the grand prize.

It's a surprising result for many onlookers, given that "Cosmopolis" has yet to release a trailer and only has a tentative release date of 2012. But Rob's fans rallied behind their man, opting to support his future in "Cosmopolis" over his past in "Twilight" — a commanding decision from a massive fanbase that demands attention, to say the least. In fact, the movement was so strong that it even caught "Cosmopolis" director David Cronenberg's eye even before the film won the brawl for it all. Shortly after the victory was announced, Cronenberg got on the phone with MTV News to talk about what "Cosmopolis" winning the MTV Movie Brawl means for the film, Pattinson's performance, when fans can expect to see a trailer and much more.

MTV: David, thanks for talking with us! Have you been filled in on what's happened with "Cosmopolis" over here?
David Cronenberg: You know, I've been following it! I'm shocked! I'm shocked and amazed and really tickled. It proves that movie fans are unpredictable and really interesting and really passionate. It's fantastic. I would have never, ever imagined that this would happen.

MTV: How did the tournament first get on your radar?
Cronenberg: Somebody sent me something and said, "Hey, we seem to be doing OK in this Movie Brawl thing that MTV's got going on." I didn't know about it. At that point, we were struggling with "The Dark Knight," I think. I thought, "Wow, that's pretty impressive!" Because "Cosmopolis," while I think in terms of what it is as cinema is pretty hefty, but in terms of budget and promotion, it's an underdog compared to something like "The Dark Knight" franchise. I really didn't think we would have much of a chance. That really got my attention.

MTV: What's kind of incredible, too, is that right before that battle with Batman, "Cosmopolis" was up against "Twilight." It was Rob versus Rob! In what we saw, it seemed that fans were putting their votes towards Rob's future instead of his past.
Cronenberg: Well, and I think that's one of the things that I meant when I said it was interesting. Because that's not the kind of thing you would predict. But it was really terrific, and in that sense, they're right. As I've said many times, if you're a "Twilight" fan, then you might not be interested in "Cosmopolis" because Rob is not Mr. Cullen. But if you're a Rob fan, then you've got to be interested in "Cosmopolis," because you will see him as you have not seen him before, for sure.



MTV: Clearly, there is a lot of interest in this movie, seeing that it came out ahead over movies like "Dark Knight," "Twilight" and "Hunger Games." There is a lot of attention on Rob, of course. Can you talk about your experience working with Rob, and the kind of actor you found him to be over the course of shooting "Cosmopolis"?
Cronenberg: He's terrific. He deserves the affection that the fans have for him. He's incredibly sweet, he's very funny, he's very bright and he's also very knowledgeable about cinema. Not just movies but the history of cinema. He knows a lot about it. He's just a sweetheart. And he's totally professional. He's always right there. We had a lot of fun shooting [the movie] because, as I say, he has a great sense of humor. We just played a lot. I think that's a really great tone that's set for everybody on the set. The lead actor has a really big influence on the tone of the shoot. If you've got a guy who's very difficult and neurotic or whatever, they can't help but affect everybody's day. But Rob is not like that. He's just a ray of sunshine. In fact, he's in absolutely every scene of the movie, so obviously his temperament would have a huge influence on how the shoot went ... and it was a dream. It was a beautiful shoot.

MTV: I think one of the reasons why some are surprised with how this tournament played out is that most of the films that were competing have trailers. This one doesn't — at least not yet! When can fans expect to see a trailer?
Cronenberg: We feel probably that this won't be released until next fall. It's not exactly a summer movie and it won't be ready for a while. The movie is finished, but something that fans maybe don't know is how long it takes a movie to get released. You want to do a couple of film festivals, the studios in each country have to get their materials ready. The photographs, the trailers, everything ... it takes a lot of time, you know? The other thing is, we kind of want to keep things a little bit of a secret until we unleash it on the world. We're pretty excited about it and we don't really want to let too much out about what it is and how it plays.

MTV: In terms of when this is coming out, you said perhaps fall of this year. So there's no firm release date just yet?
Cronenberg: No, not at all. It's been sold to a lot of countries and distributors around the world, but for example, it does not yet have U.S. distribution. That's fine, because we didn't want to look for it until we had the finished film. But frankly, the Movie Brawl results might well help us get some good U.S. distribution! [He laughs.] I just thought of that, but you know, it's possible! It's interesting to hear that indication of interest before you even release a trailer — that's pretty darn good. But you can't release a trailer until you have a distributor, and a distributor has to really have all the material, so it takes a while.

MTV: Well, something close to 6 million votes were cast in this tournament, and almost 4 million were cast in this final poll alone. The numbers do not lie.
Cronenberg: That's fantastic. That's just great. That's just great.

MTV: In the spirit of this tournament, what's the movie you're most excited to see in 2012? What's the film you can't wait to get your eyes on?
Cronenberg: You know, I'm so focused on what I've been doing that I actually don't know what's around! It's strange. I haven't even caught up with last year's films. I have a movie out now called "A Dangerous Method" with Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen. I've been touring the world promoting that, been to a ton of film festivals, but I haven't had a chance to see any of the movies, because I'm constantly having to do interviews and stuff for that. Now, that's calmed down now that the movie has finally been released in the U.S., but the result is that I'm way behind on everything.

MTV: So you've got to catch up on 2011 before moving onto 2012.
Cronenberg: That's right! Let me catch up first, and then I'll start thinking about 2012.

MTV: Finally, any last messages to the "Cosmopolis" fans who pushed this movie to the top?
Cronenberg: They won't be disappointed in Rob. He is fantastic.

Some of you might know, some of you might not, but MTV has been hosting an MTV Movie Brawl for 2012 which was a slew of some of the most anticipated movies for 2012 all competing against one another just to see what sole movie was the most anticipated of 2012. Some of these movies included The Hunger Games, The Dark Night Rises, Breaking Dawn Part 2, Snow White and the Huntsman, and MANY more amazing titles. But the winner, thanks to more than 3 million votes, is Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis! That's right guys, Rob's movie even beat out Breaking Dawn Part 2. We're still proud of him regardless, can't wait for this movie!

 Rob's Cosmopolis Wins MTV Brawl 2012.
The final buzzer has sounded, the brawl for it all is over, and Robert Pattinson is the last man standing: "Cosmopolis" has won MTV Movie Brawl 2012.

His indie drama made for one hell of a Cinderella story in the vote-driven tournament to pick the must-see movie of the year. Entering the bracket as a #4 seed (following an impressive showing in the play-in round), "Cosmopolis" appeared to be facing an unavoidable Elite Eight ouster. What were the chances Pattinson's cerebral film about a young finance wiz taking a day-long limo ride though New York City would beat "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2"? Apparently pretty good. Fans banded together, choosing to support RPattz's post-vampire career rather than the franchise that made him a star. "Breaking Dawn" was sent packing.

And so, after easily fighting off "The Dark Knight Rises," "Cosmopolis" came to face "The Hunger Games," a brand-new franchise that had waltzed through the tournament and seemed to be the odds-on favorite to win the whole tourney. But it was not to be. After more than 3 million votes and a slew of lead changes, Pattinson's film beat back Jennifer Lawrence's series to become the undisputed champion of the Movie Brawl.

Hours before voting closed Monday afternoon (January 23), with "Cosmopolis" staking out an insurmountable lead and the MTV Movies team at the Sundance Film Festival, we broke the news to Pattinson's co-star, Paul Giamatti, that their film had won the tournament.

"Holy cow, that's astounding!" he said. "The fact of that is amazing. ... That's a really cool thing that it brings that visibility to that movie."

It's been a whirlwind few weeks in the tournament, so we'd like to thank all the fans who voted. The Brawl broke bigger than we could have ever hoped. Well over 5 million votes were cast. The competition spread wildly over Twitter and Facebook. Our comments sections caught fire as fans debated, argued and rallied. In the end, though, only one film could stand as the undisputed champion of the MTV Movie Brawl. Pattinson, Giamatti, director David Cronenberg and everyone connected to "Cosmopolis" — we salute you!

Kristen Stewart has claimed she believes her Twilight boyfriend Robert Pattinson is perfect marriage material.

K-Stew, whose character Bella Swan gets hitched to R-Pattz's vampire Edward Cullen in Breaking Dawn - Part 1, claims her beau has many qualities which would make him the ideal hubby.

Speaking to toi.com, the 21-year old revealed: "Rob has many desirable qualities. He is very intelligent and capable for one thing, has strong will power, an excellent reasoning ability and common sense."

The actress added: "One of his great qualities is that he has an ability to see his own faults and makes a determined effort to change. He is not stubborn and I guess these are the qualities that any girl would want to see in her partner."

As well as the many qualities mentioned by Stewart, Rob himself has claimed the sex scene in Breaking Dawn has enhanced his reputation as a red hot lover, telling Hollywood Life: "When you have an entire sequence in a movie saying how great you are in bed, that's definitely not a bad thing."

He joked: "It's not pressure on me - it's pressure on everybody else!"

He’s won an army of devotees playing a sexy vampire in The Twilight Saga, but as the penultimate movie is released, actor Robert Pattinson is already dreaming of an end to the “craziness” that comes with fame, writes SHEREEN LOW

Three years ago Robert Pattinson was a little-known actor with a small part in two Harry Potter films and a handful of TV roles behind him.

Fast forward to 2011 and the British actor – known as "R-Patz" to his devotees – can't even step out of his front door without feeling paranoid about being accosted and stalked by fans.

"A lot of the time you think people are way crazier than they are. You think they've been waiting for five hours when they've only been there for five minutes.

"I was in London once and no one found out where I was staying the whole time I was there, and then this girl, waiting in the courtyard of the hotel in complete pitch blackness, called out my name – and I thought, 'This is it. I'm going to get killed'," he says, grinning at the memory.

"The thing that drives me crazy is if people follow you when you leave the building. As soon as I lose those people, I'm fine."

The reason for all this fear? The film juggernaut that is The Twilight Saga, a spellbinding love triangle between vampire Edward Cullen, Bella Swan and werewolf Jacob Black.

Based on Stephanie Meyers' best-selling books, the three films, with the eagerly anticipated fourth instalment Breaking Dawn Part 1 about to hit screens, have propelled the lead cast members – Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner – to global stardom.

Running his fingers through his tousled hair, 25-year-old Pattinson says: "I just have to remember that it is all a job and that the craziness, as overwhelming as it seems sometimes, won't last forever."

It's little surprise that Pattinson, with his finely chiselled features and lean stature, has become such a heart- throb.

Yet fame has not gone to his head. The London-born actor, who now splits his time between the UK and the US, takes his new life in his stride.

"I guess my actual life hasn't changed that much – it's busier. The only time I found it really difficult to cope was when I tried to go to the same places I went to before, and live exactly the same life, and it's impossible," he admits.

"But life changes and you have to adapt to that. You can either let yourself go completely insane or just deal with it. My family and friends haven't been any different the entire time. It's lucky that I didn't do too much beforehand."

Shot back-to-back, the first of the final two Twilight films, with the second part to be released next November, sees Bella and Edward taking their relationship to the next level.

"Breaking Dawn begins with preparations for Bella and Edward's wedding and the chaos that ensues on their honeymoon, and the inevitable downfall that always happens in Twilight movies," says Pattinson.

"The wedding scene is a relatively momentous moment for the series. I think Edward's proposed to her about 50 times now, so it's been building up and building up.

"Edward's excited. He's always been obsessed about marriage. It's what he has wanted for a long time. I think it's one of the first points of stability in their relationship."

Their honeymoon on a beautiful island in Brazil "starts off quite nice and just gets progressively worse", reveals Pattinson.

"It just goes downhill after they have sex. Edward gets to relax – but only for a second. It's like a set-up so he can get punished again for the rest of the movie consistently."

Shooting the love scenes with Stewart, widely believed to be Pattinson's girlfriend, brought some pressure because of fans' expectations for the previously celibate on-screen couple.

Sighing, he says: "It's more an abstract idea of living up to expectations because you don't know what the expectations are. Especially with the honeymoon stuff, it's just in people's imaginations.

"You never really think about the reality of what people's expectations are, you just try and make it good. And if you like it, then hopefully other people will like it."

Trying to measure up to co-star Lautner, who has no qualms about appearing shirtless, required some dedication from Pattinson, who reportedly worked out for six months to get a six-pack.

When Bella unexpectedly falls pregnant with their half-human/half-vampire baby, their marriage suffers "a lot of strain" as Edward feels the baby is a death sentence for Bella, while she considers it a miracle.

But when Edward realises there's no changing Bella's mind about the child, he becomes more supportive.

To sustain the baby and herself through pregnancy, Bella has to drink blood which she then reacts to and throws up again. Pattinson says he "loved" doing the gruesome birth scene.

"It could have been an R-rated sequence – or a really ridiculous comedy sequence," he says, laughing.

"We kind of shot it as an adult horror and then edited out the really gruesome bits.

"It looked like a Saw movie, not a Twilight movie."

He adds: "There's literally been no blood in the films, except for single drops here and there. I walked in and Kristen was covered in fake blood and gore."

In between shooting the Twilight films, Pattinson has kept himself busy. He played Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, starred in tear-jerker Remember Me and romantic drama Water For Elephants.

Yet stepping back into Edward's shoes was easy. "You do feel Edward's back as soon as you go into make-up, for one thing, it's quite limiting. All of the limitations of the make-up, wardrobe and even the contact lenses, they all play into the character," he says.

Prior to Twilight, Pattinson's biggest role was as Hogwarts champion Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, where he played second fiddle to the film's main stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

With the end of the Twilight franchise in sight, Pattinson has upcoming roles in David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis and period piece Bel Ami.

"I like working all the time," he says. "I spent so many years before Twilight just working for two to three months and then doing nothing, or these tiny jobs, for the rest of the year.

"That's the hardest thing to deal with. You're like, 'Ok, I'll just go get drunk again'."

Another young actor whose acting ability has polarized critics is Twilight star Robert Pattinson, who stars as a millionaire enduring a limo-driven odyssey across Manhattan in Cronenberg’s next film—an adaptation of Don DeLillo’s novel Cosmopolis.

“I think that [skeptics] are being critical of the Twilight series; they’re not being critical of him,” says Cronenberg. “He’s just a cog in that machine and they’re confusing the nature of that project with him. He’s a terrific actor, trust me. I’ve directed some of the best in the world, and he’s terrific.”
